Our hearts are heavy for our friends and family living in Houston and South Texas, during the devastation and flooding of Hurricane Harvey. In addition to our prayers, here are four tangible ways that we can help as a church family:
Special Offering to Texas Baptist Men
Texas Baptist Men provide immediate meal assistance and are in the Houston area preparing meals for thousands of people right now. We have set up a designated offering to Texas Baptist Men—with 100% of the money going directly to meet this need. Options to give include: online, text to give, or give by check, simply designate Texas Baptist Men.
Hurricane Harvey Assistance Fund
Immediate financial assistance will be made available through our benevolence fund to relatives of FBC members and regular attendees whose family members are experiencing financial distress due to Hurricane Harvey—request Form here.
We know that the devastation from Harvey will continue to be felt for months. We will communicate opportunities to participate in the clean-up and rebuild as we learn better how to partner with local Houston and South Texas churches. FBC Frisco is committing to provide teams to help with these projects, and have reached out to Houston’s First Baptist Church and others to assist in meeting these needs.
These are our neighbors, and we want to love them well in their hour of need. Prayerfully consider giving and helping in these relief efforts.
